Appointment Policy

As the practitioners at Gnadenfrei are usually fully booked, last minute cancellations or 'no-shows' mean that we don't have time to book in another client and others miss out. As such, this Policy has been established for all appointments scheduled with our practice.

Late Arrivals

Clients arriving late for their session will be required to pay their full fee regardless of the length of their consultation. Sessions cannot run over time for late arrivals.

Re-scheduling or Cancellations

Re-scheduling or cancelling your appointment either on the business day before or the same business day as your appointment, or non-attendance of your appointment without notice, will incur a cancellation fee. (*business day refers to the hours between 8:30am-4:00pm. *Notification of re-schedule or cancellation of appointment after 4:00pm will be classified as same business day cancellation).

Cancellation fees are payable by the client, regardless of how the cost of the sessions are arranged to be covered (e.g., by WorkCover QLD, Insurance).

Cancellation fees are payable at time of cancellation and Gnadenfrei has the right to deny booking further appointments until outstanding fees are paid.

If rescheduled or cancelled one business day before appointment - $50.00

If rescheduled or cancelled on the day of appointment or no notice given - $Full Fee

When cancellations or no-shows occur due to extenuating circumstances out of the control of the client, the cancellation fee may be reduced or waived at the sole discretion of Gnadenfrei.

Registered Psychologist:

Medicare rebate: $93.95

Mental Health Social Worker:

Standard Fee: $160.00 Concession: (Health Care Card) $135.00

Medicare Rebate: $$90

Provisional Psychologist:

Standard Fee: $100.00 Concession: (Health Care Card) $90.00

No Medicare rebate

Counsellors:

Please contact reception on 0401 181 312 for counselling fees, as they vary dependent on circumstance and need. Couples Counselling $140.00

NDIS & WorkCover

We accept NDIS & WorkCover clients, please contact Reception for more information

In order to claim a Medicare rebate, your referring General Practitioner (or other relevant medical practitioner) is required to have lodged a Mental Health Care Plan with Medicare. We will require a copy of this Care Plan prior to, or at the time of your first appointment.

If you are looking to make a claim through your Private Health Insurance, you do not need a Mental Health Care Plan or a referral from your doctor. You will need to check with your health insurance provider to see what rebates they offer, and we will supply you with an invoice/receipt which you can lodge with them.

Financial Assistance may be possible through the generosity of the Blue Butterfly Foundation for Trauma and Abuse Ltd.
