Contact our reception staff on 0401 181 312 or (07) 34805583.
See our Fees and Appointments page for full details. Full payment is to be made at the time of consultation. Eftpos and credit facilities are available.
Before you can claim a rebate from Medicare for our psychology or social work services, your referring General Practitioner (or other relevant medical practitioner) is required to have lodged a Mental Health Care Plan.
When you call for an appointment with your GP, you will need to ask for a long appointment in order to give them enough time to complete the relevant documentation. If you have problems obtaining a referral, please phone (or have your GP phone) us on (07) 3480 5583. Please make the mental health plan out to Gnadenfrei Counselling and Psychology or the specific practitioner you are seeing.
From 9 October 2020 until 30 June 2022, 10 additional individual psychological therapy sessions, will be available each calendar year to all eligible patients under the existing MBS (Better Access) initiative, which will bring the total sessions to 20 per calendar year.
Yes. If you are claiming through a private health fund you do not need a Mental Health Care Plan or a referral from a doctor. You will need to check with your health insurance provider to see what rebates they offer. We will supply you with an invoice/receipt which you can lodge with them.
Please think carefully about the times you book to minimise charges.
Gnadenfrei practitioners are usually fully booked. Last minute cancellations or 'no-shows' mean that others miss out. As such, a cancellation policy has been established. If for some reason you cannot make the appointment, please provide at least 2 working days notice by phoning the office. If we do not receive notification of the cancellation within this time frame, there will be a cancellation fee. If the cancellation is due to a genuine emergency or illness, this fee may be reduced.
The best thing to do in all emergencies is contact 000. We do not operate after hours, except by appointment. We would, however, like you to contact us ASAP so we are up to date with your needs.
Please be advised our office will be closed over Christmas from Saturday 23rd December and will reopen Tuesday 2nd December.
If you need rapid or after hours support, please contact 000 or the support numbers below.
